Amos Frimpong admits new players in Kotoko will make winning championships a priority

Amos Frimpong, a former captain of Asante Kotoko, anticipates that the new players brought in by coach Prosper Narteh Ogum would make winning championships for the team their top priority.

Before departing to join Guinean club Kaloum, Frimpong won a lot of awards while playing with the Porcupine Warriors between 2011 and 2019. He has expressed his desire to return to Kotoko in any position openly and pushed the team’s recent additions to make winning championships their top priority.

“I don’t know the players’ targets or mentality at this time,” he remarked. What I do know is that if you join Kotoko and the team doesn’t conclude the season with a trophy, nobody will notice you.

“My advice to my brothers (new signings) is that they should have it at the back of their minds that no matter how difficult the season gets, they should try and at least win one major trophy. This will make the supporters and followers of the club appreciate their performance.”
