RTU reveals reasons behind the branding of ex-player David Abagna’s name on the team bus

Real Tamale United acquired David Abagna Sandan from AshGold for Gh¢100,000.00, equivalent to $8,824.00, in October 2021.

In January 2023, Real Tamale United transferred David Abagna Sandan to Al Hilal Omdurman for a fee of $100,000.00. Thirty percent of the transfer fee covered agency and GFA transfer fees, leaving RTU with $70,000.

In just one year and three months, Real Tamale United earned $61,176.00 from David Abagna’s transfers.

Information available at the Armitage Sports Center indicates that David Abagna’s and Mohammed Gago’s transfers stand out as the two exceptional signings in the club’s history since its establishment in 1976.

The club expressed gratitude to the player by dedicating its new Grandberg bus to him, featuring an inscription of his picture at the back of the bus.
