Patrick Agyemang named Player of the Monthin MLS Next Pro

Patrick Agyemang, a striker with Crown Legacy FC, has been selected Co-Player of the Month for July by the MLS NEXT Pro.

In just two games in July, Agyemang scored four goals and provided one assist.

He also scored on July 29 for Charlotte FC against Club Necaxa in the Leagues Cup 2023, but the goal was not taken into account for this award.

Agyemang has scored in each of his previous six MLS NEXT Pro Matches and currently leads the league in goals per 90 minutes.

The 12th overall 2022 MLS SuperDraft Pick scored two goals in 71 minutes against Atlanta United 2 and then added another brace in 69 minutes against NYCFC II in the month of July.

We’re pleased that Crown Legacy FC athletes continue to perform well and receive accolades from the league. It not only reflects the team culture that encourages the professional development of all of our players, but also serves as a monument to the individual, according to CLFC President Darrius Barnes.

Patrick’s journey this season, along with his performances for Crown Legacy FC and Charlotte FC, is the ideal example of the player pathway we’re building, and he richly deserves the title of Player of the Month, the club president said.
