Sebastian Barnes named as head of scouting for Hearts of Oak

Sebastian Barnes, a former captain of Ghana’s U17 squad, has been appointed head of scouting for Hearts of Oak.

Barnes has additional industry knowledge thanks to his UEFA B coaching certification.

Hearts of Oak said that the 46-year-old will be the new Head of Scouting and will work with Dutch coach Rene Hiddink, who has been named the club’s Technical Director, to reorganise the team in time for the forthcoming season.

Barnes formerly held the positions of sports director and manager of SC Leverkusen’s U15 team.
