Proud United Chief JoJo Duncan positive club will avoid relegation

CEO of Proud United Jojo Duncan claims that he is confident his team will avoid relegation.

Proud United had been struggling in the Division 1 this season even before the League was suspended due to the corona virus outbreak. Some Ghanaian football fans have accused the club’s chairman by claiming that he wishes to see the rest of the football season cancelled due to current state of his team in the suspended league.

The chairman labeled his accusers as “mischievious” while admitting that his team is in a very bad state at the moment, but he believes that his team will avoid relegation without the season being cancelled.

He attributed his teams struggles to a number of factors which includes lack of experience on the part of the players and the team’s obvious difficulties in the goal scoring department.

Jojo Duncan is of the view that with 18 games to play before the season ends, his team has plenty of time to turn their season around.

“We have qualified from our current position before we’ve played 1st division for almost 7 years so if you give me 18 matches while am in the 13th position with the teams above me holding just 4 to 7 points advantage, I strongly believe we’ll get there”. He said in an interview on Westgold Radio with Kuntu Blankson

He went on to advise Ghanaians to redirect their focus to the corona virus which has claimed many lives worldwide so that we can help stop the killer virus from spreading any further.

“Let’s temper our enthusiasm for social enjoyment with our concern for putting a cap on this pandemic”.
