WOMENS PREMIER LEAGUE FINAL CLASH

Defending champions of the Womens Premier League, Ampem Darkoa Ladies will face off with Hasaacas Ladies at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Friday, May 12, 2023. The sworn rivals won their respective zones to make it to the play off final for a third consecutive time.

Coach Yussif Basigi’s Hasaacas Ladies won the Southern Zone in the Women’s Premier League with 39 points, winning 12, drawing 3 and lossing 3. Hasaacas Ladies FC are now champions of the Southern zone for the fourth consecutive time since 2018/2019 and the eighth time in the Club’s history having missed it only once in 2016/2017. Hassacas Ladies FC were crowned champions of their zone after thrashing Faith Ladies FC 1:0 on Matchday 18 last Sunday. The four(4) time Women’s Premier League champions will now play in the playoff match against their longtime opponent in that stage.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC who have won the Women’s Premier League three(3) times won 9, drew 4 and lost 5 games and finished the season with 31 points to be winners of the Northern Zone. They won the title last season against Hasaacas Ladies at the Accra sports stadium following a 5:3 penalty shootout.

The final is scheduled for Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese. These two sided have booked a third consecutive Women’s Premier League (WPL) playoff final against each other in the 2022/23 league season.

This years  2022/23 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League final play-off is set again and its with familiar foes meeting again.
