Barcelona continue winning run in La Liga after 1-0 win at Girona

Fc Barcelona continued their pursuit of the La Liga Santander trophy as they took on Girona with Pedri scoring the winner for Xavi’s men.

The game began with Barca losing out on the in form Ousmane Dembele in the opening minutes with Girona failing to take the game to Barca as they sat back to soak the pressure.

The game went into the break with both sides failing to break the deadlock with Barca way below their normal self.

The second half saw Jordi Alba come on for Marcos Alonso and the 2012 European Championship winner found Pedri at the far post to put Barca in front after more than an hour played.

The final minutes of the game saw Girona threaten to find the equalizer from Set Pieces yet Marc Andre Ter Stegen was showed up with clutch saves to secure the win for the Blaugrana.

Barcelona extend their lead on top of the table to six points ahead of Real Madrid who have a game in hand.
