Atletico Madrid and Barcelona agree deals for Memphis Depay and Yannick Carrasco

Atletico Madrid have agreed a deal for Memphis Depay from Barcelona for 3 million Euros in a five year deal until 2028.

Sky Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the deal is apparently sealed after with Memphis’s spell at Barcelona coming to an end.

Memphis lost favor in the eyes of Xavi towards the end of last season and remains an interesting prospect for Diego Simeone after yet another transfer of a Barca player to Atleti after Antoine Griezmann.

Barcelona are offloading an incredible attacking talent for just 3 million Euros in Depay.

Depay is currently undergoing his Medicals in Madrid with Atleti with the official announcement of the player expected soon.

Barcelona have also agreed a loan deal for Yannick Carrasco from Atletico de Madrid until 2025 with a buy option for less than 20 million Euros next summer.

Carrasco’s Atleti contract ends next summer and is a preferable winger for Barca manager Xavi as the Catalans look to reinforce their left flank position.

Atleti and Barca will take on each other again before the close of the season at the Camp Nou after a recent 1-0 win for the Catalans at the Wanda Metropolitano.
