Nottingham announced the signing of Renan Lodi from Atletico Madrid

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Renan Lodi from Atletico Madrid, according to a club statement.

The Brazilian left-back is on loan at the club for the season.Lodi, 24, joined Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2019 after three seasons in La Liga.

During his time in Madrid, he made 118 appearances and was a key member of the team that won La Liga in 2020/21. He’s also a Brazilian international who made his debut against Senegal in 2019 and will be hoping to make the trip to Qatar for the World Cup.

Lodi was in the stands at the City Ground on Sunday as Forest were defeated 2-0 by Tottenham Hotspur. They were promoted from the Championship to the Premier League and have had a solid start to life in English football’s top tier. In their first four games, they’ve lost two, drawn one, and won one.
