Ghanaian Defender Philemon Baffour Promoted To Rio Ave Senior Side

Ghanaian defender Philemon Baffour has been promoted to the senior side  of Portuguese top-flight side Rio Ave ahead of the 2022-23 league season.

The former U-20  player joined the Liga Portugal team after excelling at the 2021 Africa Youth championship in Mauritania when he played a big role in the Black Satellites triumph.


Baffour played 31 times in the Ghana Premier League for Dreams FC and scored one goal with three assists before his move abroad.

He played for the U23 team for Rio Ave when he joined the Portuguese side in the second round of the season after joining in January.

He later joined the Blackstars of Ghana for some world cup matches.
