William Gerald Qojo Asamoah A Young Promising Lad In A Rise Of His Career

It was a hot Saturday morning when a
colleague of mine, Papa Yenzu Quansah asked me to accompany him to
watch a certain young player he had
spotted.
Reluctantly, I obliged and we went all the
way to the Ahanta West Park to watch
the colts game. The game had already
started when we got there so he just pointed
out a diminutive and unassuming ambidextrous footballer to me as the one he wants me to
assess.

He was in his NO.24 Jersey.
After his first few touches and a perfectly
weighted pass he gave with a back flick, I
didn’t need a soothsayer to realize that a
star has been born.
The dazzling performance of this young chap
was so intriguing that I just couldn’t take my
eyes off his glitzy display.
A few days later, Papa Yenzu Quansah
accompanied him to Pacific Heroes ( division one )
training grounds for a justify-your-inclusion
exercise at the Konongo
and he didn’t need more than a session to
assert himself. Since then he has been on a
sturdy rise.

He later joined newly promoted division one club Nsoatreman football club as defensive midfielder and he was delight to watch during his time in division one league.
Gerald Qojo Asamoah did everything to make the club got promotion to the Ghana Premier League .
It’s not that I have never seen talents of his
kind. I have: Anthony Annan, Imoro Abubakar, Benjamin Afutu Kotey etc are all players I saw while
they were growing up. But I saw a gem in
William Gerald Qojo Asamoah.
