“Ending the season without being in the top four feels like failure” – Coach Samuel Boadu

Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu has said that he feels he has failed after ending the 2021/2022 Ghana premier league season without being in the top four positions.

According the newly crowned MTN FA Cup champion, his side is one of the biggest in the country and for that matter, he regards it as a failure for not finishing in the top four positions on the league table.

“Hearts of Oak is a big club and we can’t end the season without a trophy, but as a coach not being in the top four I feel I have failed. People should know this as well, with Coach Boadu there’s always a trophy to win.”

Samuel Boadu led Hearts of Oak to win their 12th FA Cup title by beating Bechem United by 2:1 at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Sunday, becoming one of the most successful coaches of the Phobians after the late Cecil Jones Attuquayefio.

Accra Hearts of Oak finished
6th on the league table with 48points in 34 matches, winning 12games, drawing 12 and losing 10.
The FA Cup triumph means both Hearts of Oak  and Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be competing in Africa( CAF Confederations cup and Champions league respectively) for the first time since 2008.
