Coach Mambo assigned to Ashanti Gold academy team

Coach Yakubu Mambo has confirmed that Ashanti Gold Sporting club has asked him to step down as the head coach of the club and has been assigned to handle their academy team.

In an interview coach Mambo revealed that the club has asked him to step down as the head coach and has assigned him to handle their academy team and also as a scout for the club which he is yet to decide whether to accept or reject.

He further disclosed that a new head coach has been introduced to the club’s technical team and Thomas Duah has been named the new assistant coach.

Coach Yakubu took charge of the team after Coach Kasim Gokyildiz terminated his contract with the Club.

He was in charge of the team when they suffered their heaviest defeat in the Ghana premier league after the Academy boys WAFA dismantled them 6-1 at Sogakope park.
