GFA Boss Backs Amaju Pinnick For Third Term As NFF President

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kurt Okraku wants Amaju Melvin Pinnick to run for a third term as President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Amaju Melvin Pinnick was elected as NFF chief in 2014 after been in charge of the Delta State Football Association and Amaju Melvin Pinnick was given an extended nod in 2018.

But he has become under intense pressure after the Super Eagles could not qualify for the 2022 Qatar after a 1-1 draw with Ghana that dashed them out of reaching the mundial.

And Mr. Pinnick revealed earlier this week that he might not be contesting for the NFF Presidency for the third time.

However, GFA boss Kurt Okraku thinks Pinnick has much knowledge to better Nigeria football and must continue.

“That’s unfortunate if he (Amaju Pinnick) really said he is quitting the NFF.”

“I would be one of those people who would go up to him to tell him to rethink that decision.

“I know Pinnick loves Nigeria; he loves Nigerian football. He wants to see the Super Eagles dominate African football.

‘That’s his dream and it’s the dream of every Nigerian, including the President of the country. In this challenging period, it calls for cool heads.

‘It also calls for everybody to stand with each other. This is time to offer solutions and Nigeria will get back to its feet,” he told Brila FM.
