I’m ‘Behind You’ – President Nana Addo Promises The Blackstars

President Nana Akufo Addo has promised the Blackstars of government maximum support for their Campaign.

The Blackstars qualified for the 2022 World Cup after edging out Nigeria in the final playoff with a vital 1-1 draw in Abuja.

President Nana Addo called on the entire playing body of the senior national team to the Jubilee House on Wednesday.

‘’Everybody is going to be behind you. President Nana Akufo Addo said.

‘’We are going to give you all the maximum support that we can.

‘’The Ministry, the officials of the Ghana Football Association and all the organizations will give you all the support that they can.

‘’I myself, I am organizing a special package for you. It is a token of my appreciation.’’

On the part of the technical team, the president told the Ghana Football Association to maintain them for at least the World Cup.

“I am hoping the Technical team that has been put together for these two matches will at least take us through to the World Cup itself. I told the coach to be careful when he comes to Ghana we will kidnap him and make it difficult for him to leave to Germany and to Dortmund, and we want him here.

“Kurt Okraku, please make sure that the team stays together at least until Qatar then afterwards we can take long term plan” he added.

The Blackstars will know their World Cup group opponents on Friday when the draw is held Doha Exhibition and convention Center (DECC).
