The game began at exactly 3pm on the cloudy Saturday of March 12, 2022. The first ten minutes of the game already saw a keenly contested encounter from both sides.

Twenty minutes into the game, Sea Lions forward, Alice Sarpong, denied her side and opener as she missed a glaring opportunity at goal.

The game got halted for 10 minutes after Red Cross Personnel had to attend to the Second Assistant Referee, Margaret Sowah, who collapsed in the course of the game and resumed with Fourth Referee, Angela Basoti replacing her. Despite daring efforts from both sides, the first half ended on a barren note.

The second half saw the fight for an opener continue for both sides.

Sea Lions was seen panting for an equaliser while Soccer Intellectuals displayed their hunger for more goals as the game progressed until referee Yanosah Mariama, whistled for the end of the game.
