Kotoko and Ash Gold shares points to top table

It’s was a rivalry clash between Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium at Kumasi as both of them prevented each other from scoring.

Both of them went into the game 17 points with goal difference separating them. The rivals who are aiming to qualify to Africa again couldn’t convert their chances as their defense was packed and working through out the 90 minutes.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko started the game once again without their captain Felix Anan in post but lined up a strong squad consisting of Baah in the post, Christopher Nettey, Imoro Ibrahim, Habib Mohammed and Agyemang Badu in the defense and in the midfield was Justice Blay, Ameyaw, Martin and an attacking lineup of Emmanuel Gyamfi, Opoku and Keita.

Ashanti Gold started the game with Frank Boateng, Yussif Mubarik, Ibrahim Samed, Kwadjo Amoako, Eric Donkor, Latif Anabila, James Akaminko, Benjamin Eshu, Appiah Maccarthy, Emmanuel Osei Baffour and Emmanuel Owusu.

Asante Kotoko are now placed 2nd with 18 points while Ashanti Gold are topping the league table with 18 points with goals separating them.
