OFFICIAL : Former Inter Millan midfielder Sulley Muntari signs for Hearts of Oak

Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak have announced the signing of former Inter Millan midfielder Sulley Muntari in the ongoing transfer window.

The Black Stars midfielder has penned a year deal with the Phobians following a successful negotiations.

Muntari is joining the Ghanaian side on a free transfer after been unattached for sometime now.

The hard-working midfielder has been training with the club for sometime now and has now decided to feature for the club in the Ghana Premier League.

Muntari began his career with Liberty Professionals before moving to Europe where he played for several clubs in including Udinese, Sunderland, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Portsmouth and Pescara.

He is among the few players in Africa to feature for his country at the FIFA World Cup on three occasions.

Muntari won UEFA Champions League with Italian club Inter Milan during the 2009/10 season under Jose Mourinho.

He becomes the second global icon to make a return from the Ghana Premier League after Asamoah Gyan who was acquired by Legon Cities last term.
