Tottenham grant Dele Alli permission to discuss deadline day move

Dele Alli has been granted permission by Tottenham to discuss a deadline day move away from the club, 90min understands.

The midfielder has failed to recapture the form that saw him hailed as one of the world’s best young players in his first few seasons at Spurs.

With his career stalling, opportunities at Tottenham limited and 26th birthday on the horizon, Dele is at a vital crossroads in his career.

90min has been told that Spurs have granted him permission to seek a move away before the January transfer deadline, with Everton, who confirmed the appointment of Frank Lampard as their new manager at lunchtime on Monday, among several sides interested in Dele.

Newcastle are another side who have shown an interest in the England international, while Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a loan move for him ever since Mauricio Pochettino returned to Parc des Princes in December 2020.

Dele has scored just one Premier League goal since the start of the 2020/21 and has dropped way down the pecking order in north London following Antonio Conte’s appointment as head coach.
