Godfred kwadwo Asamoah scored the only goal to hand Medeama SC a 1-0 victory over Elmina Sharks in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The attacker climbed off the bench to score the decisive goal on 69th minute to give the Mauve and Yellows a hard fought win.
Medeama had struggled to assert their dominance over Sharks in the first half.
The home team were reduced to a couple of half chances and what was lackluster performance at the Akoon Park.
However Coach Umar Abdul Rabi‘s tactical shuffle paid off in the second half paid off when his substitute Asamoah emerged the hero of the day.
The result sees Medeama move up to 3rd on the league standings with 26 points. while Elmina Sharks remain bottom with 8 points.
