“We played against a team physically stronger and older than us” – WAFA coach satisfied with Bechem United draw

Head coach of West Africa Football Academy, Guillermo Zaragoza has expressed his satisfaction with his side’s goalless draw against Bechem United on Sunday.

The Academy side fought held the Hunters to a 0-0 draw at the Nana Fosu Gyabour Park.

Reacting to his side’s draw against Bechem United, the coach explained they played against older and more physically stronger players.

“We are happy with the point we took, with the draw, it’s not an easy place to come, the environment.

“We are happy because we are a young team and to come and play against older players, some of them are maybe 10-years older and physically they are so much bigger than us.

“But we came in here, we took a point, we were brave and we have to be happy because I think it’s the first point that someone takes from here all year so we have to be happy,” Guillermo Zaragoza said at a post match press conference.

“To be honest, we kind of stayed away from our game, the way we play at home is completely different because of the pitch surfaces as well”

“So I think when we go away, we can compete with anybody maybe playing a different type of football, more defensive. “But when we are home, we are completely different so I’m glad that we can alternate between playing one style and the other.”

WAFA are 17th on the League standings with 14 points after 14 games.
