Hearts of Oak to miss their attacking midfielder in Karela crunch encounter

Report from the camp of the title holders, Accra Hearts of Oak has it that Ghana U-20 captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh will miss their epic encounter against Karela United in Anyone.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored in their 4-1 victory against Eleven Wonders in the GPL Week 13 and also netted a goal during the MTN FA Cup round 32 fixture against Golden Kicks a few days ago.

The youngster has maintained his splendid performance since last season after helping the Ghana U-20 to win the Africa U-20 Championship in Mauritania and played a key role for Hearts of Oak to halt the team’s ten years trophy drought.

Barnieh will sit back for the GPL week 14 encounter due to knee injury as well as Fatawu Mohammed who is also on two weeks suspension after a deliberate failure to go by the terms of his contract with the team.

The team trained yesterday ahead of their Match Day 14 fixture against Karela United today
