Aduana Stars fail to put pressure on Kotoko after draw with Accra Lions

Aduana Stars failed to go within touching distance of league leaders Asante Kotoko after failing to secure all three points against Accra Lions on Sunday afternoon.

The Dormaa based side had the opportunity to go three points away from King Faisal and a point behind Kotoko after the pair dropped points in week 13, but they failed to seize the opportunity.

Aduana Stars were even in danger of losing all points after the visitors opened the scoring through Daniel Awuni after just three minutes played.

They could have gone 2-0 down if not for the wastefulness of   Rauf Salifu who missed an opportunity to double their lead.

Aduana Stars however fought their way back into the game to equalize in the 40th minute through a penalty by Yahaya Mohammed who converted from 12 yards.

Both teams were unable to establish a lead, with the game ending 1-1 after full time.
