AFCON 2021: Ghana’s probable line up against Gabon; Kofi Kyere to start as Milo effects changes to the team

 

Black Stars will be looking to return to winning ways in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations when they lock horns with Gabon on Friday.

Ghana after a dissapointing start to the tournament will be looking to overcome the Panthers in the second group C game at the Omnisport Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.

The Black Stars suffered a 1-0 defeat to Morocco in the opening group game courtesy a late goal from Sofiane Boufal.

Ahead of the second game against Gabon, a close observation of the team’s final training ahead of the game gives indications of how the coach wants to approach the game and the personnel to use.

Skipper Andre Ayew could start from the bench due to the injury he suffered in Ghana’s first game.

Milovan Rajevac is expected to make changes to the team started the first game.

The coach is likely to line up with a 4-1-2-3 system.

English based Swindon goalkeeper Jojo Wollacot is expected to keep his place in the sticks.

Andy Yiadom is expected to start at right back with Baba Rahman starting on the Left Back.

Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey is expected to partner Strasbourg Alexander Djiku in the central defensive role with the latter acting as the stopper.

Real Mallorca enforcer Baba Iddrisu will start in a defensive midfield role, with Thomas Partey and Daniel Kyere supporting him.

Jospeh Painstil who impressed in the first game is expected to start on the right wing with Kamaldeen Sulemana operating from the left wing.

Crystal Palace’s attacker Jordan Ayew as usual will lead the attack for Milovan Rajevac side.
