Berekum Chelsea Youngster Joins Swiss Giants FC Basel

Berekum Chelsea youngster, Emmanuel Essiam has finalized a move to Swiss Super League giants FC Basel on a four-year deal.

Essiam joins Basel after an impressive 2021 campaign with  Berekum Chelsea and Ghana Under 20 team, helping them win the 2021 Africa Youth Championship in Mauritania.

“FC Basel is delighted to announce the signing of 18-year-old Ghanian U20 international, Emmanuel Essiam!,” the Swiss club announced on Twitter.

“The midfielder signs from Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League on a contract until June 2026,” the club confirmed added.

   FC Basel squad planner  Kaufmann added that   “We are happy that with Emmanuel we were able to tie a promising talent in midfield to FCB in the long term. He has good dynamics, is agile and agile.

“He works hard in the center, always in the service of the team and can therefore recapture many balls from the opponent,”
