Ghanaian International, Afena-Gyan returns from suspension to feature for Roma in Sampdoria draw

Ghanaian International star, Felix Afena-Gyan returned from his one match suspension to play for AS Roma in their 1-1 draw against Sampdoria.

The 18-year-old replaced English forward Tammy Abraham in the 47th minute as the Giallorossi dropped points at the Stadio Olimpico.

Afena-Gyan missed the game on Saturday against Atalanta due to the red card he received in the previous match against Spezia.

Eldor Shomurodov opened the scoring for Roma in the 72nd minute with a hard worked goal.

But Manolo Gambiadini responded with ten minutes left to give the visitors a point against Jose Mourinho’s men.

Felix Afena-Gyan has now made four senior team appearances for AS Roma since he was promoted by the Portuguese gaffer.

His brace against Genoa remains his two topflight goals in the ongoing season.

The youngster has been named in Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac’s 30-man provisional squad for pre-AFCON camping in Qatar.
