SENEGAL, BECOMING A THREAT IN WORLD FOOTBALL.

The Terenga Lions of Senegal are gradually becoming a giant in the continent and the world.

Senegal’s best international performance was in the 2002 world cup where they they reached the quarter finals and in the 2019 Afcon, where they ended as runners up.

Despite their failure to the cup of nations, the current Senegalese team has got depth in quality.

The Terenga Lions has got all it takes to become Afcon winners in 2022 and qualify for the mundial next year. In all departments of the game Senegal has got quality. The Spider behind the two sticks, Eduard Mendy is in top form with Chelsea and the former Reins goal keeper is one of the best of the planet. In defence, Kalidou Koulibaly serves as a shield. In midfield the team boasts of Idrissa Gueye, Chiekhou Kouyate and in attack they’ve got goal poacher Sadio Mane.

Apart from Egypt, West Africans have got a great number of talents in the Sun region. Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory coast and Cameroon have all enjoyed some good times in the continent and the world cup and it’s now time for the Terenga Lions to shine and up their game.
