2022 World Cup Ghana CAN qualify-Abatay

2022 World Cup qualification updates

Ghana CAN qualify!

South Africa 1:0 Zimbabwe

And that slim win by Bafana Bafana over Zimbabwe hands Ghana lifeline. But the big question is, who’ll score the goal for us?

But don’t write Ghana off yet. Yes, we can at home. We’ve never lost or drawn a qualifier in Cape Coast.

Whilst South Africa needs at least a draw to qualify, Ghana just need to beat South Africa by ANY goal margin to qualify for the next stage! That shouldn’t be too difficult to do in Cape Coast. We got this! Just a win! 1-0 mpo is okay! So help me God.

Moving on with a game on hand this weekend, 6 countries have already qualified. Senegal, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Mali and Algeria.

The big question is, can my Ghana beat any of the teams listed above to qualify to Qatar 2022? My answer is, don’t worry. Just save the best for last. We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it, meaning, we don’t have to worry about a possible future problem but we’ll deal with it if it happens.

And no one should also tell me Burkina Faso can beat Algeria away in Algiers by 10-0 to qualify at their expense. It just won’t happen!

However, it’s very crucial for other teams such as
Cameroun, Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria, Benin and DR Congo.

In other developments, just a draw between Nigeria and Cape Verde in Lagos would see the former through. But should there be a surprise just as Central African Republic beat Nigeria 1-0 just a month ago in their own back yard, the Anago Boys would be laughing at the wrong side of their mouth. They would definitely have themselves to blame.

For Cameroun and Cote D’Ivoire, it’s dicey. With Cote D’Ivoire topping the group now 10 pts with Cameroun on 9pts, they would have to fight for a draw in Yaounde to qualify. For the homesters, they need a win at all cost to survive.

In the last option, Group leaders Benin with 10 pts need a just a draw away in Kinshasa to progress whilst DR Congo will need a win at all cost at home to survive.

Gob bless our homeland, Ghana!

NB: South Africa, remember, you’re coming to Obimanso!
