Agent of Ghana U-20 star Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has denied reports linking the AFCON U-20 Most Valuable Player to Swiss giants FC Basel

News broke on Tuesday night that the teen sensation is close to joining FC Basel for $1 million.

However, Prince Umar Ibrahim disclosed the player is attracting interest abroad but FC Basel is not part of the clubs that are eager on signing him.

‘’I am seriously surprised where the news is coming from, that is completely untrue,’’ Prince Umar told SportsworldGhana.com.

‘’I can tell you that indeed, we have received a lot of offers for Fatawu after the U-20 AFCON in Mauritania but I can also tell you that FC Basel is not one of those clubs we are in talks with,’’ added Prince Umar Ibrahim.

The Steadfast player has earned a maiden call-up to the senior national team after an impressive U-20 Cup of Nations.

He is with the Black Stars team preparing for the double AFCON qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome.
