Zongos To Benefit From Youth Football Talent Hunt

A special program for the youth in Zongo communities, dubbed the ‘Zongo Youth Football Talent Hunt (ZYFTAH)’ is to be introduced by the New Patriotic Party should the party be given a second chance come December 7.

The program which will be under the Zongo Development Fund, will help unearth, develop and promote football talents in Zongo communities through competitions and football clinics in collaboration with local and international partners.

This was disclosed by the Vice President Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia during the launch of the NPP 2020 manifesto as captured in the campaign document.

The government under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has built 10 Astro
and Green turfs in Zongos across the country, and has the intention to build more.

The Zongo Youth Football Talent Hunt (ZYFTAH) will make the construction of these parks, and many more to be constructed, more useful and meaningful to the youth in Zongos through competitions and talent-hunt programmes under ZYFTA.
