COVID-19: Ghana Premier League Club Cries For Government Support.

As football activities has been suspended indefinitely due to the Coronavirus pandemic, president of premier league side Techiman Eleven Wonders, Nana Ameyaw Manu has called on the government to come to the aid of the Premier League clubs as the halt of the league has brought serious financial challenges.

According to Nana Ameyaw, the suspension is no fault of the clubs and clubs are yet to receive sponsorship money from the Ghana FA and StarTimes thus making running of the clubs difficult at this point.

“Though the players are on a break they have to be paid. Startimes money is yet to hit our account so we are appealing to the government to support us (clubs) financially because the situation at hand is not our fault,” he said

“During the Anas #12 expose, the boys were paid while on break, now the players are on break again due to the COVID-19 outbreak”. he added.

Eleven Wonders placed 12th on the league log with 19 points before the suspension on the league.
