Ghana Police Rescue Hearts of Oak Coach Slavko Matic from Supporters

Supporters of Accra Hearts of Oak stormed the training grounds of the club this morning to prevent under-fire boss Slavko Matic from training.

Hearts of Oak are winless in their last two games in the league, losing to Aduana Stars and Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Slavko Matic arrival at the training grounds was greeted with furious supporters bent on stopping him from training. With danger looming, the police division intervened. Due to this Matic was not able to train with the team.

Coach Slavko Matic is said to have filed a complaint with the Ghana Police Service on the violent conduct by some supporters of the club to stop him from training.

Hearts are preparing to face arch-rivals Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League match day 20 which also serve as President Cup.
