2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Ghana Faces Tricky Group F Draw

Ghana

The path to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 is now clear for Ghana’s Black Stars, with qualifiers set to commence in September 2024. The draw, conducted on July 4th in Johannesburg, South Africa, placed Ghana in Group F.

This group features a mix of familiar and new adversaries: Sudan, led by former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah, poses a familiar challenge; Angola, known from the 2023 qualifiers, offers a chance to replicate past victories; and Niger, a new competitor, adds a layer of unpredictability to the group stage.

Every match in the qualifiers is seen as a critical step towards their ultimate goal. The team’s encounter with former coach Kwesi Appiah, now leading Sudan, adds a personal dimension to the challenge, further fueling their determination to succeed in the 2025 AFCON.
